Below are WRTU Chapter projects and activities slated for 2025.
- Adopt White River State Fishery Area
- Wednesday June 4, 2025, tree planting along the South Fork of the White River State Fishery Area. Meet at DNR gate at west end of Rocky Run Road at 9:00 am.
- Adopt Clam River State Fishery Area
- June 24 & June 25 Workdays – Meet at DNR parking lot on Heart Lake Road at 9:00 am each day.
- Mosquito Brook Climate Resiliency Project – work starts in early June
- Marengo River Lincoln Community Forest Project
- July 7 & July 8 workdays – meet at Lincoln Community Forest trail head at 9:00 am.
- 2025 Kids Fishing Day
- June 7, 2025, from 9:00am – 1:00 pm at Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center
- Volunteers meet at Visitor Center at 8:15 am
- Brule Family Fun Day
- August 16th, 2025, at the Brule State Fish Hatchery
- Johnson Springs Dam Removal / Habitat Restoration – probably late August/September start
- Brule River Fall Gathering and Cookout
- October 8, 2025 at Copper Campground, starts at 3:00 pm
- Teach Students Fly Tying / Fly Casting – Ashland High School already in progress
- Free Fly Casting & Fly-Fishing Clinics – to be determined.
